Louisville Christian Foundation is locally governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, whose members are well grounded in Christian principles and personal growth. LCF is blessed with the following individuals whose heart for our mission is manifested through their dedicated service to the Foundation:

John R. Fleming, Jr. is President of The Louisville Community Initiative, a workforce development organization. For 20 years he enjoyed a successful management career in the insurance industry. A decorated combat veteran, John serves on various non-profit boards in the Louisville area, and was involved with the National Conference of Christians and Jews, and Bernheim Forest. He is currently an Adult Bible teacher at his church.

Raymond G. Strothman is the managing partner and founder of Strothman & Company, a public accounting firm celebrating 20 years in business. He is involved in numerous professional and civic organizations, including the Downtown Louisville Rotary Club and Bellarmine University Business School, and is active at his church. Ray serves as Chairman of the LCF Board of Directors.

Mark A. Thompson is the owner of Thompson Investment Advisors, and has been a registered investment advisor for past 14 years. Having previously worked with a major accounting firm in Louisville, he has also retained his CPA credentials. Mark has served in leadership roles for several community organizations, including the Cherokee Triangle Association, Youth For Christ and St. Anthony Community Outreach Center. He has also served as parish council president at his church.

Clayton R. Hume, CPA, JD is a director in the law firm Middleton Reutlinger, a Louisville full-service law firm concentrating in general corporate law, complex commercial litigation and intellectual property. Clay practices in the areas of corporate, taxation, securities and estate planning. He practiced in public accounting for seven years prior to entering the private practice of law in 1995. Clay serves on various non-profits boards and is an active member of his church, where he also serves as a volunteer budget counselor.

Leo Andrew Hanlein is president of Alexander Investments, a regional securities dealer. Formerly, Andy was involved for 20 years in life science and medical start-up businesses in California. He serves as chairman of the Professional Advisors Committee for Louisville Christian Foundation, leads the Kentucky chapter of the National Association of Christian Financial Consultants, heads a CBMC Forum group and facilitates a Crown Financial Ministries Special Edition bible study. Andy also serves on the financial steering and benevolence committees at his church.

Bill Heinz, Jr. most recently served as president of H&H Systems and Design, Inc., his family's design and construction firm. Bill received his BS in 1991 from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and his MBA from Indiana University in 1997. Bill and his wife, Dawn, are very active at their church and teach a Sunday School class, as well as assisting in new member orientation. Bill is also an active board member for Junior Acheivment and Develop New Albany.

Dr. T. Vaughn Walker, serves as senior pastor of First Gethsemane Baptist Church, and as a professor and department chair of Black Church Studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He most recently served as moderator of the Central Baptist District Association, which represents 151 churches in Louisville. He also serves on the Board of the Baptist Fellowship Center in West Louisville, and numerous other boards.
 
Mark J. Kennedy, most recently served as manager of Trust and Wealth Management Group for Commonwealth Bank and Trust Company. He has a law degree from Mississippi Law School and a Masters of Law in Taxation from Boston University Law School. Mark and his wife, Diane, have two children and are active in their church. He is also on the Board of Directors for Cabbage Patch Settlement House.
 
Jeffrey L. Ashley is owner and president of Jeffrey L. Ashley & Associates, a consulting company that assists non-profit organizations in fund development and strategic planning. Previously, he served as vice president of university advancement for Spalding University, director of major gifts for the University of Louisville, and director of advancement for Trinity High School. Jeff is active in numerous community organizations, including the University of Kentucky Alumni Association, Greater Louisville Inc., FOCUS Louisville, Kentucky Planned Giving Council and others. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky (Journalism), and a Master of Arts Degree from Webster University (Marketing).
 
Carol Brandon Timmons has worked at Business First for 18 years and served as editor since January 1995. She is a past chairman of the board of the E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park Foundation and vice chairman of the Communications Council of the University of The Cumberlands. She is a past president of St. Matthews Business and Professional Women and a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Louisville chapter. She participated in the 1997 class of Leadership Louisville, and the 2000 Bingham Fellows class. Carol is an active member of Northeast Christian Church, where she led a couples small group and has served in a variety of ministry areas.
 
Jody Meredith is active on several community boards, such as Wayside Christian Mission, Young Life and others. She served as campaign chairman and as a key staff member for former Jefferson County Judge Executive Rebecca Jackson, where she helped start the Young Professionals Association and the Patriot Peace Memorial. An active member of her church, she serves as a Bible Study Fellowship leader and is also active in overseas missions.
